With summer fast approaching and mixing into it my love of watching the “Pool Kings” and “Insane Pools: Off The Deep End,” I love to dream about what my pool would look like if I had the space and the money!

* Yes, another contestant on Wheel of Fortune added the word “and” in the puzzle and didn’t win. People are so upset about this and feel the person should have won, but I say, “Those are the rules!” You say exactly what’s on the board if you want to win, nothing more, nothing less! Quit making it easy for people to win.

Earth Day began in 1970 when it was created by Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson. It is celebrated every year on April 22nd with the intention of raising awareness about pollution, and taking care of the environment by reducing, reusing and recycling resources.

THIS AND THAT * Say it isn’t so! “NCIS: New Orleans” is done after this season! Their last episode airs in May. I love this series even though I am still not over the fact that the show killed off Christopher LaSalle.

* I am truly going to miss what I still refer to as the Scott Variety Store (Main Street Trading Post) in Stockton since it will need to be demolished. It has sentimental value to me and to my family, but most importantly, that is the place where I would buy my 45s and albums back in the day! The records used to be on display near the west front window area. I especially remember purchasing the album “Tea For the Tillerman” by Cat Stevens with my sister.

The story of the Easter Basket Green Grass is like the palms that lay upon the ground for Jesus’ parade. Purple reminds me of the time that Jesus shared with his disciples a meal of bread and wine.

Hey, my pretty girl, I can’t believe you are eight! Time sure does fly by When your life is so great! You are the coolest girl around! And it’s great style you got, You are my lovely and sassy rose. Plus the way you care about things means a lot.

THIS AND THAT * The Monkees were and will always be one of my favorite music groups since I watched their TV show when I was growing up and still watch the reruns today. I also have several of their albums because they had some great songs and Davy sure could play that tambourine! So when I read this about The Monkees, I just had to share it! And those of you who know anything about this music group will get this, and I know you will laugh just like I did.
