* The American Cyanamid Company selected Marvin Hachmeister, Plainville High School vocational agriculture instructor and FFA advisor, as the outstanding livestock instructor in the state of Kansas and awarded him a Stetson hat and a plaque at the vocational conference in Lawrence.
