The Stockton Lady Tigers got their 2026 volleyball season off to a strong start Friday, August 28, picking up a pair of victories in their season-opening triangular at Natoma. Stockton came away with wins over both Chase and host Natoma to begin the season with a 2-0 record.

The Plainville Cardinals got their first taste of action Friday evening, participating in a preseason jamboree at Larned as they prepare for the start of the 2026 high school football season. The Cardinals won’t have to wait long to put their preseason work to the test.

The fall sports season is underway for the Plainville Junior High Cardinals, with the volleyball team already seeing its first action and the football team preparing to take the field for the first time.

The Plainville Cardinal cross country team will get its 2026 season underway Saturday, September 5, when the Cardinals travel to Hays to compete in the TMP meet. Races are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.

The Stockton Junior High football and volleyball teams will get their 2026 seasons underway this week, with the squads opening on the road. The young Tigers will travel to WaKeeney on Thursday, September 3, to take on the Trego Golden Eagles.
