The Plainville Cardinals delivered a strong team performance Thursday, April 30, capturing the boys team title at the Goldsmith Relays with 113 points. The Lady Cardinals also had a solid showing, finishing fifth with 70 points.

The Plainville Cardinals traveled to Russell on Tuesday, April 28, falling in both games of a doubleheader against the Broncos. In the opener, Plainville found itself in an early hole, trailing 11-0 before getting on the board in the top of the fourth inning.

The Stockton Tigers competed in the 47th Quinter Invitational last Friday, with a limited roster making the trip but still producing several scoring performances. Leading the way for the Lady Tigers was Cheyenne Hoeting, who turned in another strong showing in the distance events.

The Plainville High School boys golf team opened the 2026 season on Tuesday, April 14, competing in the Osborne Invitational at Shady Bend Golf Course. The Cardinals finished fifth as a team with a score of 367 on the par-72 course, showing early promise to start the season.

Battling strong winds on their home course, the Plainville High School boys golf team turned in a solid performance Monday, April 20, finishing second at the Plainville Invitational held at Rooks County Golf Course.

The Stockton High School track teams turned in several point-scoring performances at the Plainville Invitational, held Tuesday, April 21. On the girls side, Lyllyn McNulty led the field events with a thirdplace finish in the triple jump, recording a mark of 32’10”.

Plainville Youth Action Council partnered with local organizations to host a pickleball tournament on April 19 at the Cardinal Gym. The event raised funds and built momentum for a permanent outdoor pickleball court in Plainville.

The Stockton Junior High track teams were in action Friday, April 24, competing at the Osborne Meet, where the Tigers recorded several strong individual and relay performances.

The Plainville High School track teams traveled to Phillipsburg last Friday to compete in the Phillipsburg Invitational, turning in several strong performances on both the boys and girls sides.

The Stockton Junior High track teams turned in a number of solid performances at the Fleming Meet, hosted by Natoma, on Wednesday, April 22 in Plainville. The 8th-grade girls led the way for the Tigers, finishing second as a team behind a strong all-around effort.
