Sondra McCall, age 77, of Stockton, Kansas, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis - Wichita.

She was born in Stockton, Kansas, on September 29, 1949, to Dale McCall and Loeta (Thayer) McCall.

She was previously married and was blessed with her two daughters, Alana and Laura. She later married Doug, “Papa Doug,” who preceded her in death in 2016.

Sondra grew up with her sisters, Carol and Devena, and brother Dale. She attended Woodston schools, then the family moved to Arvada, Colorado, where she attended Arvada Senior High.

Sondra was an avid quilter, and many handmade blankets and pieces are passed down through generations as family heirlooms. She also enjoyed Scrabble and was very competitive. She and Papa Doug enjoyed their scenic drives through the mountains and took many photographs to share. She was very good with numbers and her career revolved around that.

She is survived by her daughter, Alana Delgado, Great Bend, Kansas, and her son, Axel Ginn; daughter Laura Burton (Derrick) and their children, Makayla (fiancé Spencer Hyman) and Holden Burton, of Stockton; sisters Carol Serefko and Devena Sabell, both of Stockton; and Linda Anderson, Colorado; two great-grandkids, Arabella and Vera Hyman.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Dale, and Papa Doug.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Humane Society of the High Plains, Hays, Kansas, in care of the funeral home. Make checks payable to the organization.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 24th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Methodist Church, 204 North Elm Street, Stockton. Friends and family are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served.
