THE WESTERN KANSAS BASEBALL TEAM finished their season last Saturday, falling to Ellis in the consolation bracket of the tournament held in Plainville. The boys’ summer league consisted of Stockton, Plainville, Ellis, Trego, Quinter, Grainfield, Oakley, Hoxie and Hill City. Those playing in Saturday’s tourney were: front row, from left: Zeke Balthazor, Dayton Carpenter, Cameron Earl, Harrison Schnell, Jace Kesler, and Kolby Dix; and back row, from left: Coach Zach Kesler, Vincent Thayer, Jonathan Graham, Damon Muir, Isaac Thayer, Devon Boland, Kolt Kuhlmann, and Coach Austin Wieden.

The Western Kansas Softball Team competed in their season-ending tournament last Saturday in WaKeeney, coming home with third-place medals. Stockton went 2-1 on the day.

BLAIRE BEOUGHER took first place in her age division in the Northwest Kansas Junior Golf Tournament held at Fort Hays Municipal Golf Course on Monday, July 5th. There were 8 girls competing from both the East and West Division in the 10-11 age group. Blaire shot a 47 to win, and Shelby Molina of Plainville and Brynn Schoepf of Hays both shot a 48. Shelby won the playoff chip for 2nd. There were a total of 50 girls and boys competing in the tournament in several age divisions. Blaire of the daughter of Greg and Marcy Beougher.
