RoCo girls sweep Ness City in doubleheader

The Rooks County Softball girls captured their first two wins of the season, sweeping Ness City in a doubleheader on a cold and windy day last Thursday in Plainville. RoCo won the first game 11-7, and then picked up a 14-5 win in the second contest.

Several PRs set at the Kaser Relays

Nearly 20 teams competed at the Kaser Relays in Osborne last Friday. The competition was tough, but the Tigers managed to get several personal records on the day.
RYLAN BASART, on his last attempt of the day, threw the javelin 158- 09, a PR, to win the event at the Kaser Relays. Basart also had a PR in Shot Put, placing second with a toss of 43-03.

Dix wins four gold medals at the Osborne track meet

Stockton eighth grader Ava Dix won four gold medals at the track meet in Osborne last Thursday, while the eighth-grade Tiger girls placed second as a team. Dix took first place in the Long Jump, as well as the 75M, 100M and 200M Dashes.

Regional and State sites set for spring sports teams

With the spring sports seasons winding down, the Regional and State sites have been announced by the Kansas State High School Activities Association. The Tiger Golf Team will go to Atwood for the 1A Rawlins County Regional on May 17.

Basart wins only gold for the Tigers at Plainville meet

Rylan Basart was the only member of the Stockton Tiger Track Team to bring home a gold medal from the Plainville Invitational track meet held last Monday. Basart won the Javelin, throwing a personal best 155-03. Monday’s meet was originally scheduled for the next day, but due to snow in the forecast, was moved to a day earlier. Although Monday’s conditions were anything but springlike for those competing, despite the cold and windy weather, the Stockton athletes managed several PRs on the day.

Iwanski captures 3 golds at Stockton Invitational

Senior Camden Iwanski captured three gold medals at the Stockton Invitational track meet held last Tuesday, April 13th, at Tiger Stadium. Iwanski won both the he 100 and 200 Meter dashes, and was a member of the winning 4 x 100 Meter Relay.
TIGER SENIOR CAMDEN IWANSKI not only won this 100 Meter Dash race, but also collected gold medals in the 200 and the 4 x 100 Meter Relay at the track meet held in Stockton.

Hunter Howell wins gold in the 100, 200 at Phillipsburg track meet

Hunter Howell, an eighth grader at Stockton Junior High, won both the 100 and 200 Meter Dashes at the Phillipsburg Invitational track meet held last Thursday in Phillipsburg. Eighth graders Ava Dix and Brin Muir also captured gold medals with Dix winning the 200 and Muir taking first in the Discus.
