Rylan Basart was the only member of the Stockton Tiger Track Team to bring home a gold medal from the Plainville Invitational track meet held last Monday. Basart won the Javelin, throwing a personal best 155-03.

CAMERON EARL races his way to a first-place finish in the 100M Hurdles at Stockton’s junior high track meet on April 13.

Senior Camden Iwanski captured three gold medals at the Stockton Invitational track meet held last Tuesday, April 13th, at Tiger Stadium. Iwanski won both the he 100 and 200 Meter dashes, and was a member of the winning 4 x 100 Meter Relay.

Hunter Howell, an eighth grader at Stockton Junior High, won both the 100 and 200 Meter Dashes at the Phillipsburg Invitational track meet held last Thursday in Phillipsburg. Eighth graders Ava Dix and Brin Muir also captured gold medals with Dix winning the 200 and Muir taking first in the Discus.

Stockton Junior High hosted the Stockton Invitational track meet which was held last Tuesday at Tiger Stadium. Stockton’s 8th-grade girls won the meet, scoring a total of 146 points. Osborne was second with 114 points.

Stockton High School’s Ethan Means was among 30 senior boys and girls from around the state of Kansas chosen to play in the Kansas All-Star Basketball Game held at Dennis Lesh Sports Arena on the campus of Pratt Community College on Saturday, April 10 in Pratt.

The Rooks County girls’ softball team dropped a doubleheader to Lincoln/ Sylvan-Lucas last Thursday on a cold and breezy day in Plainville. Game One was close between the two teams until Lincoln/Sylvan-Lucas put together a five-run seventh inning to take an 11-3 lead.

Olivia Dix, a junior on the Lady Tiger Basketball team received a postseason honor recently when she was named to the Wichita Eagle’s 2021 1A Honorable Mention All- State Team. Among the many highlights for Dix this season was a 41-point performance in a win against Plainville.
