Plainville Wrestling Club hosted a tournament which had over 400 wrestlers in town on Saturday, February 5, competing in their Plainville Open, Novice and Girls Tournament. Stockton Wrestling Club had a busy day with thirteen of their own wrestlers competing in two Plainville gyms.

CLAIRE PLUMER, a sophomore on the Striders dance team, performed with the rest of the Pink Ladies to a mashup of musical selections from the movie, “Grease.” The Striders performed the dance during halftime of the Lady Tigers’ game against Northern Valley.

SHS SENIOR RYLAN BASART signed a letter of intent to pursue his javelin career in track with the University of Nebraska-Kearney Lopers. Among those on hand for the signing on February 1 were his coaches, from left: Justin Basart (also his dad), Janet Kuhlmann, Alexa Rogers and Clint Bedore. Basart, who was also a standout football player for the Tigers, is also comtemplating walking on as a kicker for the Lopers. Congratulations and Good Luck, Rylan!
