Stockton’s Ashlyn Hahn wrestled her way to a Mid-Continent League Championship at 115 lbs. last Friday in WaKeeney. Hahn, who now owns a record of 23-4 on the season, went 2-0 on the day. In her first match she won by a fall over Jennifer Cunningham of Ellis, and in the championship match she decisioned Sabrina Todd of Norton, 12-3.

The Stockton Lady Tigers split in their basketball action last week, falling on the road to the Norton Lady Blue Jays last Monday, but capturing a win at home the following night against the Northern Valley Lady Huskies.

The Stockton Wrestling Club traveled to Ellis to compete in the Ellis Open on Saturday, January 15, and the Ellis Novice on Sunday the 16. In the Ellis Open, Stockton had six wrestlers compete with Jake Cockrell in 6 & Under, Judsten Cockrell in 8 & Under, William Bigge in 10 & Under, Quintin Trevino in 10 & Under, Hudson Muir 10 & Under and Zeke Balthazor 12 & Under.

Zach Young was the only Tiger wrestler to compete in the boys division at the Buffalo Invitational in Atwood last Saturday. Young went 1-2 for the day.

The Stockton Lady Tigers and Plainville Lady Cardinals met up with each other in the 11th-place game of the 2022 Mid-Continent League Basketball Tournament last Saturday morning in Plainville with the Lady Tigers cruising to a 66-18 victory.

The Stockton Lady Tiger wrestlers had another good outing when they traveled to Atwood last Saturday for the Buffalo Invitational. All five grapplers placed, with Shyanne Balthazor winning the 132-lb. division. Ashlyn Hahn finished second at 115 lbs., Raven Long was third at 191, and Ryleigh Gardner and Rivver Long were both fifth at 109 and 191, respectively. Balthazor and Hahn both had winning records for the day with Balthazor going 2-0, and Hahn, 3-1.
