SHS Wrestlers return to action on Saturday

The Stockton High School Tiger Wrestling squads return to action this Saturday when the boys travel to Salina South for a tournament which is set to begin at 9:00 a.m., and the girls travel to Norton with action set to begin at 9:30 a.m.
Lady Tigers resume 2022 Schedule

The Stockton Lady Tigers resumed their 2022 basketball schedule on Tuesday, January 4, when they hosted the Smith Center Lady Red in Mid-Continent League action. They will be on the road to Norton this Thursday, and next Tuesday, January 11, they will travel to Victoria. The next home date for the Lady Tigers will be on Fri-day, January 14, when they host the Lady Ringnecks from Hill City. On Saturday, January 15, the 2022 Mid-Continent League Basketball Tournament will begin with the play-in games being held in Stockton.
Lowry wrestles his way to a second-place finish in Russell

Emerson Lowry, a Stockton freshman, wrestled his way to a second-place finish at the 2021 Alan Dolezal Wrestling Tournament held last Saturday in Russell. Lowry won by a major decision in his first match, won by a technical fall in his second match, before losing by a fall in the championship match to Cyrus Vajnar of Hays High. Lowry, who wrestles at 126, is now 7-5 on the season.

Hahn places first in Holiday Classic

Freshman Ashlyn Hahn placed first at the Holiday Classic Wrestling Tournament in Goodland last Saturday, helping the Lady Tiger team to a fourth-place finish. Hahn, who wrestled at 115, won by a fall in four of her five matches on the day, improving her record to 13-2 on the season. She has also moved into the state rankings, being ranked fourth in Division II (1-4A) in her weight class.
SHS Lady Tigers defeated by TMP Lady Monarchs

In their final game of 2021, the Stockton Lady Tigers were on the road to Hays to take on the Thomas-More Prep Lady Monarchs. The Friday night game between the two Mid-Continent League teams was won by TMP, 75-39. With the loss, Stockton fell to 0-7 on the season.
SHS Lady Tigers fall at home to Trego, 53-42

The Stockton Lady Tigers suffered a 53-42 loss at home last Tuesday to the visiting Trego Lady Eagles. Stockton was able to stay within striking distance the entire way, but a six-point deficit on a couple occasions was as close as they would get.
