Stockton Recreation 2nd Annual Golf Tournament July 31st

It’s time to sign up for the Stockton Recreation’s 2nd Annual 3-Person Scramble Golf Tournament. The event will be held on Saturday, July 31st with registration to begin at 8:30 a.m. Tee time is set for 9:30 a.m. with the cost $45.00 per person.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, July 12th, are as follows: Monday—Chicken strips, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, bread, mandarin oranges. Tuesday—Hamburger patty with lettuce, onion and tomato, coleslaw, bun, mixed fruit. Wednesday—Chicken alfredo with pasta, California blend vegetables, breadstick, fruit crisp. Thursday—Beef roast in gravy, mashed potatoes, hot cinnamon pear slices, bread, birthday cake. Friday—Barbecued meatballs, baked potato, cheesy broccoli, bread, applesauce.

National Guard Army Band to perform at the Nova Theatre

The 35th Infantry Division Band of the Kansas Army National Guard will be performing at the historic Nova Theatre in Stockton on Wednesday, July 14th at 7:00 p.m. This live performance includes patriotic selections, marches, and popular music performed by the 41-member concert band. They are planning a "kaleidoscope" performance featuring their small music performance teams (Bullseye Brass (brass quintet); Prairie Winds (woodwind quintet); High Speed, Low Drag (saxophone quartet); and Sounds of Freedom (brass band). The concert is compliments of the great state of Kansas—no admission ticket required.
