Douglas Frank Budig passed away Friday, April 1, 2022, at the age of 62, in Plainville, Kansas.

Dale Lynn McCall passed away at the age of 73 on March 4, 2022, at his home in Federal Heights, Colo. 

He was born in Stockton, Kansas on September 7, 1948 to Dale and Loeta (Thayer) McCall.

He was raised in Woodston, Kansas until moving to Arvada, Colo. in 1963. He attended grade school in Woodston, then attended and graduated from Arvada Senior High School. Dale was married to Cindy McCormick and had two children, James and Sharon. Dale and Cindy were later divorced.

Dale worked for Kroger for over 30 years before retiring.

Harold E. Dennett, Palco, passed away on March 25, 2022, at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, Kansas at the age of 99.

Robert “Bob” Edward Beiker, Plainville, passed away on March 23, 2022, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas, at the age of 61.

He was born on October 23, 1960, in Plainville, Kansas to Joseph and Elvera (Holzhauer) Beiker. Bob was united in marriage to Stacey (Denney) Beiker on October 3, 1981, in Plainville, Kansas. The couple was blessed with two sons: Josh and BJ.

Former Stockton resident, Vida M. (Hadley) Nyp, age 90, passed away March 21, 2022, at the Midland Care Hospice House in Topeka.

She was born March 21, 1932.

Elaine (Markley) Dopita, age 90, Hays, passed away peacefully in her home on March 19, 2022 after a long and brave battle with cancer.

She was born February 26, 1932 in Plainville to Earl and Agnes (Cobb) Markley. On July 27, 1948, she married Robert Dopita at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville. Together they raised seven children in the Catholic faith.

Jean Berland, age 93, Hays, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022, at Homestead of Hays.

Michael “Mike” Dean Simon, age 71, of Plainville, passed away on March 17, 2022, at Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas surrounded by his life long best friends and loved ones.

He was born on December 27, 1950, to James and Lola (Nichols) Simon in Wichita, Kansas. Mike was united in marriage to Marilyn (Ostrom) Simon on April 16, 1982, in Hays, Kansas. The couple was blessed with one son, Chad.

Allaire Thomas Homburg was born on November 7th, 1944, in a rock house a half a mile north of St. John’s Lutheran Church and passed March 16th, 2022 at Sheridan County Medical Center. His father August was the first child born in this rock house and Allaire was the last. He was baptized December 3rd, 1944, in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ellis. He was confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Ellis on May 25th, 1958.

Brenda Jo Garcia, age 68, received the room the Lord prepared for her March 11, 2022.

She was born to Betty (Glendening) and Duane Hunter on February 9, 1954 in Phillipsburg. She was a graduate of Beloit VoTech.

Brenda married Roque Garcia in October of 1973 at the Stockton United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Roque; son, Cory, and daughter, Donna; granddaughter, Emil; grandsons, Josiah, Ezekiel, Jake; and brother Steven (Tammy) Hunter.
