Sharyn Colene (Lambert) Kilian

Sharyn Colene (Lambert) Kilian, age 61, of Russell, Kansas, died on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.
Sharyn was born on September 29, 1961, in Plainville, Kansas, the daughter of Elwyn James and Wilda Madeline (Hand) Lambert. She grew up in Stockton, Kansas, and graduated from Stockton High School in 1979. In her teenage years Sharyn worked in her mother’s café as a waitress and short order cook. After graduation she attended the Hays Academy of Hair Design in Hays, Kansas. She was a beautician for over 30 years, during this time she also worked as a bartender for the Stockton VFW Post #8873. Through a mutual friend, she met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Anthony “Tony” Dennis Kilian on October 25, 2008, in Russell, Kansas.
Sharyn then worked as a canteen manager at the Russell V.F.W. Post #6240 for several years and currently worked as head cook at the Russell Senior Center. She enjoyed cooking, gambling at casinos with Tony and friends, flowers, dancing, watching soap operas, Kansas University sports, Kansas City Chiefs football and betting at horse racing.
Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. She will be fondly remembered for her dry wit, cooking skills and especially her deviled eggs.
Surviving family include her husband Tony of the home; twin sister Karyn Arnold (Mike Murphy) of Osborne; sisters Linda Krysl of Bella Vista, Ark., and Diana Harris (Bill) of Pratt; nieces and nephews Tammy, Tori, Stephanie, Courtney, Haley and Heath; great-nieces and nephews, Ross, Justin, Nicole, Layton, Madeline, Jayce and Colt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Robert Eagon; and brother in-law Mark Krysl.
Sharyn was a very giving person and was deeply loved by her husband, family and friends. A memorial celebration of Sharyn’s life was held Friday morning, November 18, 2022, at the Pohlman-Varner- Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Sharyn’s memory to the Russell Senior Center and sent in care of the mortuary.
Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, was in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
