Clara Mae (Wright) Riffel of Stockton, KS, passed away on October 3, 2022, at the Solomon Valley Manor in Stockton at the age of 91. She was born on June 10, 1931, to Irvin Day and Lula (Jennings) Wright in Pittsfield, Mass. She was married to Donald Eugene Riffel on October 26, 1952, in Stockton.

Scott Lee Redmon, age 68, passed away on October 2, 2022, in Oberlin, KS with his family by his side. He was born on February 5, 1954, in Greeley, Colo., to Melvin and Imogene (Green) Redmon. Scott grew up in Greeley and Thornton, Colo., and in 1973 he graduated from Thornton High School.

William “Bill” Earl Desbien, age 70, formerly of Abilene, Kansas, passed away at his home in Joplin, Mo., on Friday, September 23rd, 2022.

Roque Florez Garcia passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022, in Stockton, Kansas at the age of 70. He was born on August 16, 1952, in Larned, Kansas to Modesto and Ventura (Florez) Garcia. He was married to Brenda (Hunter) Garcia on October 20, 1973, in Stockton.

Charles “Charlie” Joseph Hoch passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, in Topeka, Kansas, at the age of 63.

Logan resident Hazel M. Pflieger passed away on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, at the Brookdale Senior Living Facility in Hays at the age of 87. She was born May 23, 1935, in Logan, Kansas, the daughter of Earl and Alpha (Wallgren) McCue. She was an Elementary School Teacher.

Adaleanna Grace “Addy” Chester, 7-month-old daughter of Blake and Alaina Lynn (Becker) Chester, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Hays Medical Center. She was born February 1, 2022, in Hays.

Ima Kaye Shaffer, 78, of Russell, Kansas, died on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell, Kansas.

Russell Eugene Morgan, Stockton, passed away on September 18, 2022, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family at the age of 66. He was born on July 21, 1956, to Lyle and Lyril (Power) Morgan in Phillipsburg, Kansas.

Stephen Neal Blackwell of Lawrence passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022. He was 67. He was born August 21, 1955, to Richard and Dorothy Blackwell. Steve graduated from Concordia High School in 1973. He served in the US Army as a medic from 1976 to 1978.
