The November 24, 2025, meeting of the Hobart Homemakers FCE ladies met at the Stockton Church of the Restoration at 7:00 p.m. Susan G. called the meeting to order, and we recited the flag salute. Roll call was 'What is your favorite Thanksgiving side dish?' Nine members answered it. Gail read the minutes and the trea-surer's report from the past month, and they were approved as read.

Happy Sunday from the Carnival Dream cruise ship in Galveston, Texas! After a cozy overnight stay at the Hilton, because even the ship needed a little nap before we got on, we've finally set sail! Now we're ready to roll and embark on the epic quest to find where they hide the snacks. Spoiler, they're in my suitcase.

THERE WAS A DELIGHTFUL MIX OFTALENT at the Olde Tyme Christmas Baking Contest, sponsored by Hobart Homemakers FCE, with three youth entries and two adult entries. Our Santa Judge, Nate Mentzer, (pictured), tasted the treats and proclaimed the winners: Youth Winner: Hallie Gallaway—Donut Holes & Chocolate Clusters; and Adult Winner: Mia Bradbury—Eggnog Cream Puffs. The Stockton Grade School held a delightful concert featuring Kindergarten through fifthgrade students dressed in their holiday finery. The event took place on a brightly lit, Christmas tree-themed stage in front of family and friends at Stockton High School on Tuesday, December 2nd.

Happy Sunday, everyone! After a legendary battle with insomnia that had me tossing and turning until well past 3:30 a.m., I finally surrendered and took a much-needed nap. Because what better way to recover from a sleepless night than by sleeping through most of Sunday? We woke up to a surprise snowstorm on Saturday, making everything feel like a winter wonderland (or just a reason to stay cozy).

The Rooks County 4-H Council met on November 10, 2025. Vice President Skylar Amlong called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Bridgette Axelson led the Pledge of Allegiance. Daylen Beesley led the 4-H Pledge. Eli Atkisson gave the Treasurer's Report.

Last week, we talked about Paul's journey through Athens, Greece, preaching the news of the one true God. Athens was a cultural, philosophical, and educational center at the time, and Paul had a receptive audience. This week, as we moved on to Acts 18, we see Paul heading to another important city in the area: Corinth.
