During the spring 2026 semester, an impressive 5,100 Kansas State University students achieved semester honors, with six outstanding students representing Rooks County.

Fort Hays State University recognized approximately 1,732 graduates during its spring commencement ceremonies on Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16, at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays. Graduates who requested privacy are included in the count but omitted from this listing.

The Council of the City of Woodston met in the Council Chamber at the City Hall on Monday, May 11th, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Kenny Lay called the meeting to order with council members Thomas Yakish, Bill Dibble, Larry Morgan, Charles O’Neill, and Kate Terry present.

'Jesus is the Good Shepherd” was the message title taken from John 10:110. The Bible tells us that we, like sheep, have all gone astray. Because that is true, we really need the Good Shepherd. Jesus knows exactly how helpless we are spiritually.
