Chasing The Story It was a Monday, a day like any other day, when I got a call from Patty Jackson about a man walking barefoot across the United States. She met him at Malee’s restaurant in Stockton and thought he would make an excellent human-interest story for the Sentinel.

This And That * Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Christmas, but I still don’t know why we have to celebrate Christmas in July just because that’s been a thing for so long. And now Hallmark is creeping into June with a week’s worth of their Christmas movies!

This And That * There was an Isiah Pacheco Youth Football Camp in Wichita at the Stryker Sports Complex on Thursday, May 23rd, and one on Friday, May 24th, at Blue Valley Southwest High School in Overland Park, and nobody told me!

Hello June! It’s June! School is out, and the endless days of summer are finally here! And don’t forget to celebrate some of these national holidays during the month….

This and That * I like this….If you had to choose between eating tacos every day or being skinny for the rest of your life—would you choose hard or soft tacos? * I saved all my hollyhock seeds last year and planted every one of them by my back fence on the west side of my house last fall.
