Kenneth Francis “Kenny” Goetz, 81, LaCrosse, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Hays Medical Center in Hays.
He was born September 16, 1942, in Victoria, Kansas, the son of Alphonse P. and Leoba (Schmidtberger) Goetz. He has lived in LaCrosse since 1973, moving from Great Bend. A 1960 graduate of Plainville High School in Plainville, he was a pumper working for Occidental Petroleum before his retirement.
Terrence Joseph "Terry" Kortan, age 76, of Palco, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Rooks County Hospital.
Born on February 22, 1948, in Hays, Kansas, Terry was the only child of Frank and Emma (Brin) Kortan. He graduated from Palco High School in 1969 and married the love of his life, Wanda Keller, on October 25, 1969, at St. John's Lutheran Church.
Robert Duane “R.D” Harmon, formerly of Texas, passed away on May 24, 2024, at his home in Plainville, at the age of 73.
He was born on July 3, 1950, in Garden City, Kansas, to Duane and Wilma (Ginther) Harmon.
R.D. grew up in Logan and graduated from Logan High School in 1968. He later attended and graduated (1972) from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Economics and Marketing.
A Celebration of Life Gathering for Steven M. “Steve” Hahn of Stockton will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Walker Senior Center, 201 S. Walnut Street, Stockton.
The family will host a come-and-go gathering to honor and celebrate Steve’s life as a community member, business owner, farmer, family man, and friend.
Steve passed away on May 15, 2024, in Plainville at the age of 66.
Terrence "Terry" Kortan, 76, of Palco, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
He was born on February 22, 1948.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Ellis. Visitation will be Friday, June 7, from 4-8 p.m. at Keithley Funeral Home in Ellis and also from 9:30 until the time of service at St. John Lutheran Church.

Terry Marlee (White) Hamit, 73, of Stockton, gained her wings on June 1, 2024, at Rooks County Health Center in Plainville.
She was born April 4, 1951, to Newlin and Bettie (Johnson) White in Colby, Kansas. She attended Colby High School, graduating in 1969.
She married the love of her life, Don Hamit, on August 25, 1973. They recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. This marriage brought Marlyn into the Hamit family, and in 1974, Judd was born, completing their family.

Brenda Sue Miller, of Stockton, passed away on May 30, 2024, at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville at the age of 64.
She was born on December 26, 1959, to Laurin R. and Elaine D. (Kuhn) Herl in Plainville. She married Harley Miller on October 10, 1981, in Plainville. They were blessed with three sons: Andrew, Austin, and Colby.
Connie Fae (Corwin) Allen, age 74, of Hays, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Republic County Hospital in Bellville.
She was born November 3, 1949, in Russell, Kansas to Albert “Bud” and Mary (Daugherty) Corwin. She married Jay Wickham Sr., and he preceded her in death. She then married Robert Dee “Bob” Allen on August 7, 1980, in Alva, Oklahoma.
