Kendall L. Nichols Sr., 83, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at his home in Smith Center.
He was born on December 13, 1940, in Rooks County, Kansas, the son of Levi James and Mary Leona (McReynolds) Nichols. On June 5, 1960, he married Hazel Hays in Gaylord, Kansas. To this union, they were blessed with three children: Kenny, Sandy, and Toban.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Roger Nichols, and a grandson, Joshua Levi Nichols.
Dale Gene Eaton, 67, passed away suddenly but peacefully at home on July 8, 2024, in rural Palco, Kansas.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. before the service at Red Line Church of God, 3804 H Road in Palco. Burial will follow at the Green Mound Cemetery in rural Palco.
Patricia (Riley) McCue, of Grand Island, Neb., passed away on July 8, 2024, at Tabitha at Prairie Commons in Grand Island, Nebraska, at the age of 80.
She was born on March 5, 1944, in Wilmington, Delaware to Michael Jr. and Patricia (Smith) Riley. She was united in marriage to Robert McCue on August 9, 1974, at the United Methodist Church in Stockton, Kansas. They were blessed with three daughters: Elizabeth, Kathleen, and Rebecca.
Gary Melvin “Coach” Harding, 82, of Salina, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024.
He was born on February 15, 1942, in Goodland, Kansas, to Virgil “Pete” and Josephine “Jo” (Jensen) Harding.
The active mind and busy hands of Philisene Probasco were stilled on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the age of 105 years, 8 months, and 23 days.
Philisene was born in a farmhouse in Belmont Township in Rooks County, Kansas, on September 28, 1918. She lived most of her life in and near Stockton, Kansas, except for a brief time in Hugo, Colorado, where her sister Gertrude (Koppes) Biggie (age 97) was born, and her family helped farm sugar beets.
