Angela Marie Leikam, of Plainville, passed away on February 14, 2025, at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney, Nebraska, at the age of 66.She was born on December 16, 1958, to Edward T. and Josephine T. (Tuzicka) Pozalek in LaCrosse.

Duane Edward Fitts, 76, passed away on February 18, 2025, at his home in Stockton.He was born on May 26, 1948, to Ray Edward and Alberta Mae (Behrend) Fitts in Longmont, Colo.

Patricia Kay (Atkisson) Johnson, 72, Hays, passed away on February 14, 2025, in Kansas City.She was born on December 27, 1952, in Stockton to Robert Elmer and Darlene (Cahail) Atkisson and raised by Elmer and Gladys Atkisson.Pat attended grade school and high school in Stockton, graduating in 1970.

Former Plainville resident Ruth Alma (Ferland) Rempe, 91, of Leoti, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. She was born on November 9, 1933, in Damar, Kansas, the sixth of eleven children to Euclide and Marie (Benoit) Ferland.

Sharon Sue McLaughlin, 69, of Zurich, passed away on February 15, 2025, at HaysMed in Hays.She was born on July 13, 1955, to Delwin and Velma (Meitler) Mendenhall at Plainville Rural Hospital in Plainville.

Darcy (Peak) Rodger, age 49, of Hays, passed away on February 15, 2025, in Hays.She was born July 6, 1975, in South Carolina, the daughter of Don and Gaylene (Duntz) Loyd. Her family lived in Kirwin, Kansas where she spent her childhood. She was raised in a loving home with her parents and siblings.

Joann Fern Hrabe passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Republic County Hospital in Belleville at the age of 61.She was born on Friday, December 13, 1963, in Quinter, Kansas, to Leonard and Linda (Bedore) Hrabe. Legend has it that it was 13 below zero, and Joann was a breached baby.
