Diana Fae (Smith) Simoneau of Plainville passed away on October 21, 2024. 

She was born in Colorado on February 2, 1948, to Erman and Elizabeth (Staab) Smith. She married Jerome Simoneau, and they had two sons, Rick and Justin Simoneau.

Diana was known for her strong work ethic. She found joy and compassion in advocating for everyone’s well-being. Diana’s warm smile and caring nature touched the lives of so many people. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Lester Louis Burton, a devoted family man and outdoors enthusiast, passed away on October 23, 2024, at the age of 84.

He was born on September 19, 1940. Lester and Verlee Brin celebrated an incredible 65 years of marriage, having wed on September 19, 1959. To this union, six children were born: Alice Brown (Kevin Brown), Leslie Burton (Debra Billinger), Michelle Burton, Brenda Castelli (deceased) (Kevin Tremblay) (Jim Castelli), Dennis Burton (Jeanice Bloom), and Kindra Burton.

Paul Leroy Lowry, age 94, passed away on October 25, 2024, at his home in Palco.

He was born on December 14, 1929, in Webster to Roy and Goldie (Bray) Lowry. He married Ann Post on February 23, 1951, in Logan. They were blessed with seven children: Don, Pat, Kristie, John, Ginger, Angela, and Carol.

Delmer Henry Thibault, a former Hutchinson resident, passed away on October 19, 2024, at Locust Grove Village in Lacrosse, at the age of 89.

He was born July 15, 1935, in Graham County, Kansas, to Leo and Lola (Benoit) Thibault, the oldest of twelve siblings. Delmer began his life in Bogue and Damar until the Dust Bowl, the drought, and hopes of a better job moved his family to California in August 1943, during the midst of WWII. The Thibaults spent the next few years in California until they moved back to Osborne, Kansas, to farm in 1946.

LeRock (LeRoch) Joseph Brin

LeRock (LeRoch) Joseph Brin, 91, of Salina, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Brookdale Senior Living Home.

He was born October 13, 1933, in Damar, Kansas, the son of Adrian and Emma (Lanoue) Brin.

LeRock graduated from Damar High School in 1952. During his high school years, he played baseball, loved dancing, and enjoyed driving his hot rods.

As a teenager, he bought his first Model T for $25 and drove it 131 miles with his grandmother from Aurora, Kansas, to Damar.

Kori Bigge, 49, Stockton, was born August 2, 1975, in  Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Tim and Marlyn Karstetter. Kori passed away on October 16, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, after a brief illness.

She grew up in McPherson, Kansas and graduated from McPherson High School in 1993. Kori attended Pittsburg State University and graduated with a minor in psychology in 1997 and a master's degree in psychology in 1999.

Peter George “Petra” Mohlmann, of Stockton, passed away on October 8, 2024, at Redbud Village in Plainville at the age of 71. 

He was born on May 5, 1953, in Hutchinson. 

Petra grew up in Hutchinson, Augusta, and Wichita, Kansas, and graduated from Augusta High School in 1971. He worked as a custodian for Sharon Baptist Church and was a keeper of the keys in Wichita.

Petra was a model train enthusiast, a collector of matchbox cars and computers, and a fan of Dungeons and Dragons.

Ada (Sally) Louise Strutt, of Hays, and formerly of Stockton, passed away with family at her side on October 18, 2024, at Hays Medical Center, at the age of 83. 

She was born on August 29, 1941, in Charles City, Iowa. Her parents, Orville and Maxine (Gilles) Kenworthy, raised her mostly in Stockton. Ada married Joseph "Joe" Strutt on May 20, 1959, in Stockton. They made their home in Stockton and were blessed with two children: Dale and Donna. Eventually, they moved to their small farm outside of Stockton, which they enjoyed and loved for years with friends and family.

Cary W. Blue, 75, of Woodston, formerly rural Shelton, Neb., passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. 

Services will be on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kenesaw, Neb. Pastor Paul Duffy will officiate, and the burial will be later. 

Visitation with family present will be on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney.

Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated later.

Robert Paul Davis, 69, passed away on October 9, 2024, at his home in Plainville, Kansas.

He was born on November 3, 1954, to Robert Russell and Myrtle Hilda (Kibler) Davis in Hialeah, Florida. His twin brother, Russell Paul Davis, died shortly after birth. Robert married Jill J. Walz on September 10, 2015.
