Lynnette “Lynnie” Eileen Bishop-Chard passed away on May 15, 2025, at her home in Palco at the age of 68.She was born on July 12, 1956, to Carl A. and Lois Ruth (Abitz) Bishop in Crete, Nebraska. She married Randy Lee Chard on March 11, 2000, in Hill City, Kansas.

Gertrude (Gertie) F. Bigge, aged 98 of Laporte, Colorado, died on May 21st, 2025.Gertie was born on January 7, 1927, in Hugo, Colorado. She was the youngest daughter of Albert J. and Irene Griebel Koppes, both deceased.

Ray Davin Butler, 92, passed away on March 21, 2025, at Medicalodges of Great Bend.She was born to Thomas and Margarette Knapp on October 27, 1932, in Dawson City, Yukon Territory, Canada.

Norma Lea Rogers of Hays, formerly of Stockton, passed away on May 17, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Society in Hays at the age of 98. She was born to Dale and Margaret Scott on January 3, 1927, in Hill City, Kansas. She married Clair Joseph Rogers on October 26, 1946.

DeVane Awyn Cunningham, 96, of Stockton, passed away on May 19, 2025, at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville. He was born on the family farm in rural Phillips County on March 27, 1929, to Darrell and Maybelle (Dunlap) Cunningham.

Robert Leroy Kern Jr, 62, Plainville, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025.He was born on August 19, 1962, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Hays. He spent his early years in Palco before later moving to Plainville, where he resided at Country Lane Apartments.

Nora Jean Hammerschmidt, 86, of Plainville, passed away surrounded by loved ones on May 11, 2025, at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville.She was born on December 5, 1938, in Hays, Kansas, to Phillip Sr. and Ludwina (Dinkel) Rohr.

Charles Philip “Charlie” “C.P.” Dunning, passed away peacefully at home on April 29, 2025, in Montgomery, Texas, at the age of 98. He was born on July 7, 1926, to Guy Orson (d. May 6, 1963) and Bessie Ottalie (Adams) (d. January 19, 1933) in Webster, Kansas.

James R. Baird was born on April 29, 1955, in Brownsville, Texas. One of four children, James was the third-born child to Leland R. and Betty (Dickinson) Baird. He passed away on May 6, 2025, surrounded by his family at the Norton County Hospital.

Father Duane Roy OSB passed away on the morning of May 8, 2025.  He had received the last rites and the Apostolic Pardon and was surrounded by brothers in prayer.
