Body Vera Aleen Niermeier, Stockton, passed away on June 24, 2024, at Rooks County Health Center in Plainville at the age of 93. She was born on August 30, 1930, to John and Anna (Schoen) Schoen on the family farm north of Downs.

Body Edna Amanda Zolman, of Plainville, passed away on June 14, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Plainville at the age of 92. She was born on May 30, 1932, to Charles and Elizabeth (Randal) Dorn in Long Island, New York. She met Harold Lee Zolman while living in Pueblo, Colorado.

Body Phillip R. Hammond, 69, of Ulysses, passed away at his home early in the morning of June 14th with his wife and son at his side following a battle with cancer. He was born on March 23, 1955, to Raymond and Mignon Hammond in Garden City.

Body Margaret Evelyn Fenton Chatham passed away on June 17, 2024, at the Osborne County Memorial Hospital. in Osborne.

Body Shirley Weigel, 89, Hays, formerly of Plainville, died Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Rooks County Health Center surrounded by her family.

Body Monte Lee Adamson passed away at his home in Zurich with his loved ones by his side on June 8, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. He was 69 years old. He was born on August 29, 1954, in Long Beach, California, to Henry and Shirley Adamson.

Body Connie Joyce Easter, of Hays, passed away on June 9, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society in Hays, at the age of 88. She was born on February 18, 1936, to Rex E. and Mary B. (Larsen) Mills in Galesbury, Illinois. She married Herbert Duane Easter in Palco on October 18, 1952.
