The Kansas Department of Transportation announces approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects. The letting took place June 15, 2022, in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.

The Stockton Fire Department was called out at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 30th to the Rooks County Landfill. After the County employees dug out the debris from the pit, the volunteers worked for approximately 45 minutes at the scene. No definite cause of the fire was determined.

The Motion Dance Company of Stockton traveled to Branson, Mo., Sunday, June 26th, to compete in the Starpower Nationals Dance Competition. The event was held from Monday, June 27 to Friday, July 1st, and was their third and final competition this season.
