Fusion looking for new board members to serve
Stockton Sentinel Fusion has been a Christian ministry for the Stockton youth since its inception in 2007. Fusion is a non-profit 501c3 and has a volunteer board made up of people who represent the local churches in the community as well as a few at-large members.
Minor earthquake reported last week in Rooks County
A minor earthquake was reported earlier this week in Rooks County. The 2.0-magnitude temblor was reported at 4:09 p.m Monday.
RoCo Arts mural project gratefully accepts Jerry Sterling Memorial
The Mural Project of RoCo Arts Council was blessed last week by the family of Jerry Sterling with a generous donation in his honor. This gift will be very beneficial in getting paint on the blank wall at the “stoplight intersection” of U.S. Highways 183 and 24 in Stockton.

The Rooks County Free Fair started off with the Demolition Derby on Sunday evening with Monday filled with music and fun when the KZNC Party DJs took the stage under the Solutions North Bank Pavilion, and the first night of the Inflatable Carnival was held.

Primary Election Results
Of special interest in this year's Primary Election was the Constitutional Amendment on abortion rights. The amendment would determine whether the state constitution should include a provision that says it does not provide access to abortion.

The Rooks County Free Fair will begin this Sunday, August 7th with a few changes from past years in the grandstand lineup, so please take note. The Demolition Derby will kick off this year’s grandstand events at the fairgrounds with a bang on Sunday, August 7th.
4-H and FFA Livestock Sale to be held Friday, August 12th
Come support the Rooks County youth at the 4-H and FFA Livestock Sale on Friday, August 12th. The event will be held at the Sutor-Blauer Arena at the Rooks County Fairgrounds. The Buyers’ Hospitality Hour will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the sale to start promptly at 6:00 p.m.
4-H Food Silent Auction to be held during the Fair
Make plans now to participate in the 4-H Silent Food Auction to be held during the Rooks County Free Fair. The ten items for auction will be on display in Harding Hall and ready for bids by Monday evening, August 8th.
