Body The Stockton Junior High Tigers traveled to Ellis last Thursday for volleyball and football competition with the host Railroaders. The Lady Tigers’ A Team was defeated 21-25, 25-20, 6-15, and the B Team fell 25-18, 20-25, 9-15.

Body The Stockton Lady Tigers recorded their first two losses of the season last Tuesday, September 5, when they were defeated by Phillipsburg and Trego at a triangular in WaKeeney. Stockton fell to Phillipsburg in three sets, 25-19, 14-25, 20-25, and then lost to Trego 22-25, 20-25.

Body The Stockton Lady Tigers improved their record to 4-0 on the season with a pair of wins over Tescott and Lincoln last Tuesday at Tiger Gymnasium. The Stockton girls had no trouble with their opponents, defeating Tescott 25-10, 25-8, and downing Lincoln 25-12, 25-8.

Body The Stockton Tigers put 18 points on the scoreboard against the Logan/ Palco Trojans last Friday night under the lights in Logan, but it wasn’t enough to pick up the win. The Tigers ended up falling in their season opener by the score of 48-18.

Body On July 29, the Creightons ventured to Phillipsburg to participate in their Fair Dog Show.

Body The Stockton Lady Tiger JV girls were in Phillipsburg on August 26 for a tournament. The Lady Tigers ended up going 1-2 on the day, falling to the host Lady Panthers 14-25, 17-25, losing to Ellis 11-25, 16-25, and picking up a win over Russell, 25-17, 12-25, 15-12..

Body Stockton hosted the Trego Golden Eagles in junior high volleyball and football action last Thursday, with the C-Team girls the only ones picking up a win. The Lady Tigers gave their opponents good games, but the A Team fell 17-25, 21-25, and the B Team lost 14-25, 16-25.

Body Sophomore Cheyenne Hoeting and freshman Mia Odle both brought home medals in their first meet of the season which was held last Saturday morning in Hays, hosted by TMP. Hoeting finished seventh in the varsity race with a time of 23:27.6, while Odle, with a time of 27:49.

Body The 2023 cross country season for the Stockton harriers begins this Friday when they travel to Hays for the TMP meet, which is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. Second year coach Janet Kuhlmann has six runners (five high school and one junior high) on the roster.

Body The annual dove-hunting season in Kansas begins this Friday, September 1st and runs until November 29th.The daily bag limit of 15 applies to mourning and whitewinged doves, single species or in combination.
