Body The Stockton Junior High B-Team defeated Hill City in volleyball action in Hill City last Monday, September 18. Stockton fell in the first set 19-25, but came back to win the next two, 26-24, 15-12 to capture the match.

Body VEDA MILLER OF STOCKTON, and Kathy Miller Smith of Euless, Texas were guests of Danny and Thui Miller in Topeka from September 21-24.

Body Tiger harriers Cheyenne Hoeting and Mia Odle each placed in the top 10 of their respective races at the Norton cross country meet held last Thursday. Hoeting finished 8th in the women’s varsity race, while Odle was third in the women’s JV race.

Body Last Thursday the Stockton Junior High Tigers traveled to Lincoln for volleyball and football action. The SJH Volleyball girls played a triangular with Natoma and Lincoln, defeating both teams. The Lady Tigers downed Natoma 25-10, 25-8, and defeated Lincoln 19-25, 25-23, 15-9.

Body The Stockton High School Lady Tigers Volleyball Team earned a split at the triangular held in Smith Center on Tuesday, September 19. The Lady Tigers defeated Oakley 25-15, 20-25, 25-15, but lost to Smith Center 19-25, 18-25. Their record now stands at 8-11 on the season.

Body The Stockton Tigers Football Team hosted Hoxie last Friday night in a district contest. It was a tough game for the Tigers and they ended up falling 66-0 to move to 0-4 on the season.

Body From the late-‘50s to early-‘ 70s, those attending the motorcycle races which were held at the Rooks County Free Fair were fortunate to watch Sammy Tanner, aka “The Flying Flea” work his magic on the racetrack.
