SHS Lady Tigers fall just short of a trip to State

Body When the season started, one of the goals the Stockton Lady Tigers set for themselves was earning a trip to the state volleyball tournament. The last time the Lady Tigers had played at State was 28 years ago…in 1995, when they competed in Class 2A.

Hoeting nearly qualifies for state cross country

Body Stockton sophomore Cheyenne Hoeting just missed qualifying for the Class 1A State Cross Country Meet after placing 15th at Regionals in Meade last Saturday. Hoeting crossed the fin-ish line of the 5000K in a time of 22:32.60.

Tiger football team falls to Quinter

Body Stockton traveled to Quinter last Friday for a district matchup with the Bulldogs, falling to the hosts 50-0. This Thursday the Tigers will be traveling to Washington for a cross-district contest with Washington County.

SJH B-Team girls defeat Hoxie

Body On Thursday, October 12, the Stockton Junior High Volleyball and Football Teams traveled to Hoxie to take on the Indians. On the volleyball court, Stockton’s B Team was the only one picking up a win, defeating Hoxie 25-20, 25-22.

Body The Stockton Junior High Lady Tigers played their way to a fourth-place finish in the Pike Trail League Volleyball Tournament held on October 16 in Lincoln. It was the final competition of the season for the Stockton girls.

Hoeting places second in the NPL Cross Country Meet

Body Sophomore Cheyenne Hoeting made her presence known at the Northern Plains League Cross Country Meet held last Thursday in Downs. Hoeting placed second in the varsity girls’ race, and finished 17th in the Lakeside Meet which was held in conjunction with the NPL event.

Lady Tigers place fourth in NPL Tournament

Body In their first year competing in the Northern Plains League, the Stockton Lady Tigers played their way to a fourth-place finish in the NPL Volleyball Tournament which was held in Sylvan Grove last Saturday.
