Junior high basketball season is underway

Last Thursday tipped off the start of the basketball season for the Stockton Junior High Tigers with the home team hosting Lakeside in Pike Trail League action. The Tiger girls won both of their games, 27-10 (A Team) and 21-0 (B Team), but the Stockton boys fell in each of their contests: 9-16 (B Team), 15-30 (A Team), and 5-6 (C Team).

Three SHS Lady Tigers earn All-League Volleyball honors

Three Stockton Lady Tigers earned Northern Plains League All-League Volleyball honors for the 2023 season. Junior Aubry Kesler was a First Team selection, senior Claire Plumer earned a spot on the Second Team, and junior Ava Dix was chosen to the Third Team.

Tigers score three TDs in final game of season

The Stockton Tigers made a trip to Washington last Thursday for a cross-district game with Washington County. As they did in their first game of the season, the Tigers were able to score three touchdowns in the contest, but it wasn’t enough as they were defeated 50-18.

SJH Tigers open at home on Thursday

It doesn’t seem possible, but the junior high basketball season opens this Thursday with the Stockton Tigers hosting the Lakeside Knights. Games will begin at 4:30 p.m.

SHS Lady Tigers fall just short of a trip to State

When the season started, one of the goals the Stockton Lady Tigers set for themselves was earning a trip to the state volleyball tournament. The last time the Lady Tigers had played at State was 28 years ago…in 1995, when they competed in Class 2A.

Hoeting nearly qualifies for state cross country

Stockton sophomore Cheyenne Hoeting just missed qualifying for the Class 1A State Cross Country Meet after placing 15th at Regionals in Meade last Saturday. Hoeting crossed the fin-ish line of the 5000K in a time of 22:32.60.

Stockton traveled to Quinter last Friday for a district matchup with the Bulldogs, falling to the hosts 50-0. This Thursday the Tigers will be traveling to Washington for a cross-district contest with Washington County.
