Lady Tigers finish third at the Trego Volleyball Tournament

THIRD-PLACE FINISH— The Stockton Lady Tigers placed third at the Trego Volleyball Tournament held in WaKeeney last Saturday. The Stockton Lady Tigers defeated Northern Valley 25-17, 27-25 to finish third at the Trego Volleyball Tournament held in WaKeeney last Saturday. Stockton’s record now stands at 7-4 on the season.

In Pool B play, the Lady Tigers fell to Russell 1725, 24-26, beat Deerfield 25-23, 25-11, and downed Osborne 25-12, 25-12 to place second in the pool, sending them to the Championship Semis. In the Semis, Stockton faced Trego, who won Pool A, and was defeated 25-14, 25-17. In the other Championship Semis game, Russell downed Northern Valley 25-15, 25-20.

Russell went on to win the tourney, defeating Trego 18-25, 25-16, 25-21, while Stockton placed third with the win over the Lady Huskies.

Teams competing in the tournament were: Oakley, Northern Valley, Wallace County, Deerfield, Osborne, Russell, Stockton, and the host Lady Eagles.

This week the Lady Tigers were at home on Tuesday, hosting Hoxie and Russell, and on Saturday, they will travel to Russell for tournament action beginning at 9:00 a.m.
