With the flat track races in WaKeeney now in the books, only eight more nights of racing remain to complete the I70 Kansas Fair Series for 2023. This year marks the inaugural season of this historic series being promoted under the Xtreem Flat Track Series umbrella. The final two rounds will be held in Stockton on August 11-12 and the series champions will be crowned.
Stockton, Kansas is living proof that good old-fashioned American hospitality still exists. After serving 30 years in the United States Air Force and traveling all over the world, I decided to retire and start traveling the United States. My mother left Indiana in the 1950s aboard her Harley Davidson and rode all the way to California before meeting my dad at the motorcycle races. The only thing my family ever did as a family while I was growing up was ride motorcycles together.
The Stockton Tiger Sharks Swim Team competed in the Qualifying Meet at Hoxie on Saturday, July 8. A total of 33 Shark swimmers earned a trip to the Championship Meet this Saturday, July 15, in Oxford, Neb. The meet is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
The Stockton Tiger Sharks Swim Team concluded their regular season schedule by traveling north to Phillipsburg on Saturday, June 24, to compete in the Phillipsburg Swim Meet. The Sharks came home with a season-high 36 firstplace finishes.
The Stockton Legions baseball team enjoyed an extra-special practice the evening of Tuesday, June 20, when they were treated to a skills camp put on by Hays Larks pitcher Carson Jacobs. Jacobs is a 6’9” righthanded pitcher who graduated from TMP High School in Hays.
