Stockton High School junior Cheyenne Hoeting made the most of her first trip to the 2024 KSHSAA 1A Cross Country State Championship in Wamego last Saturday, capturing a 15thplace medal. Having to contend with the rainy conditions, Hoeting crossed the finish line of the 5K race with a time of 22:09.

The regular pheasant and quail hunting season opens this Saturday, November 9th, and runs through January 31st, 2025. The daily bag limits are four (4) roosters and eight (8) quail.

The Stockton Tigers Football season ended last Thursday night with a 52-8 loss to the Quinter Bulldogs at Tiger Stadium.

Although their ultimate goal of qualifying for the state volleyball tournament eluded them, the Stockton Lady Tigers Volleyball Team had a very successful season, finishing as sub-state runners-up.

The Stockton Tigers were defeated by the visiting St. Francis Indians last Friday at Tiger Stadium by the score of 57-6.

Justus Hulse, a 2021 graduate of Stockton High School, was recently chosen as one of four captains for the 2024-25 Fort Hays State University Men’s Wrestling Team. He is a junior, wrestling this season at 149 pounds.
