Tiger teams back in action this week

With classes resuming this Tuesday, the Stockton High School and Junior High sports teams are also back in action. The SHS Tigers were scheduled to go to Mankato this Tuesday, the 7th, to take on Rock Hills, but due to inclement weather, that contest has been postponed.

Tiger Basketball teams return to action Jan. 7

The Stockton High School Basketball Teams will return to action on Tuesday, January 7, when they travel to Mankato to take on the Rock Hills Grizzlies. The Tigers will be back at home on Friday, January 10, hosting Natoma.

SJH takes on Tescott in final games before the break

In their final games before the holiday break, the Stockton Junior High Tigers hosted Tescott in basketball action. The Tigers were able to win three of the four games played. The A-Team girls defeated Tescott 39-10, the B-Team girls won 12-9, and the B-Team boys captured a 26-10 win.

Northup and Hahn win the Holiday Classic in Goodland

The Stockton Tiger Wrestling Team continues to have success on the mat with Carolina Northup (100) and Ashlyn Hahn (130) both winning the Goodland Holiday Classic last Friday in Goodland. As a team the Tigers finished eighth with 48.5 points.

SHS Lady Tigers cruise by Lakeside girls 62-25

The Stockton Lady Tigers cruised by the Lakeside Lady Knights last Friday in Stockton, capturing a 62-25 victory. It was the second win of the season over Lakeside, as the Lady Tigers defeated their opponents in the pre-season tourney the week prior by the score of 48-35.

Stockton hosts Pre-Season NPL Basketball Tourney

Stockton High School hosted the Pre-Season NPL Basketball Tournament last week with games being held on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Coming out on top were the Rock Hills girls, who ended up going 3-0 for the tourney, and the Rock Hills boys who went 2-1.

Junior High A-Team Girls defeat St. John’s/Tipton

The Stockton Tigers hosted the St. John’s/Tipton Bluejays last Thursday in junior high basketball action. The only home team to pick up a win was Stockton’s A-Team girls, who downed the visitors 32-15. The B-Team Tigers lost a close one, 19-16, while the C Team fell 10-2.
