The Stockton Lady Tigers cruised by the Lakeside Lady Knights last Friday in Stockton, capturing a 62-25 victory. It was the second win of the season over Lakeside, as the Lady Tigers defeated their opponents in the pre-season tourney the week prior by the score of 48-35.

Stockton High School hosted the Pre-Season NPL Basketball Tournament last week with games being held on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Coming out on top were the Rock Hills girls, who ended up going 3-0 for the tourney, and the Rock Hills boys who went 2-1.

The Stockton Tigers traveled to Kensington on Friday, December 6 for their basketball season opener against the Thunder Ridge Longhorns. Missed free throws hurt the Lady Tigers’ chances against Thunder Ridge as they made just 7 of 24 shots from the charity stripe, and lost by only three points, 37-34.

The Stockton Tigers hosted the St. John’s/Tipton Bluejays last Thursday in junior high basketball action. The only home team to pick up a win was Stockton’s A-Team girls, who downed the visitors 32-15. The B-Team Tigers lost a close one, 19-16, while the C Team fell 10-2.

Ashlyn Hahn improved her record to 9-0 on the season after capturing first at the Christmas Clash held last Friday and Saturday in Great Bend. Hahn, who is ranked number one at 130 in 3-2-1A, picked up wins over a girl from Larned, Junction City, and three from Garden City, winning by a fall over Alyxia Serrano from Garden City in the finals.

Senior Emerson Lowry wrestled his way to a second- place finish at the 2024 Railer Round Robin held on Friday in Ellis. Lowry, ranked sixth in the state in 3-2-1A, won five straight matches before losing to Jaxson Smith of Hill City to finish second at 157.

Ashlyn Hahn reaches 100 career wins The Stockton High School Wrestling Teams were in WaKeeney on Friday and Saturday competing in the Christmas City Wrestling Classic. The girls wrestled on Friday, and the boys, on Saturday.

Last Thursday the Stockton Junior High Tigers traveled to Lincoln to take on the young Leopards. Stockton’s B-Team Girls kicked off the afternoon with an 18-17 win over their opponents, but the Tigers’ A Team was defeated in a close game, 19-16.
