It’s time once again to scare up some spooky fun at the Stockton PUMPKIN PATCH, which will pop up in the Stockton City Park located on West Highway 24, on Saturday, October 12th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

When the enrollment figures for the 2024-2025 school year became official on Friday, September 20, USD 271 once again showed a decrease in the number of students in the Stockton schools. This school year marks the fourth consecutive year that the school district has seen a decrease in the number of students enrolled.

A Plainville man is facing two drug charges for events that took place at the Plainville Short Stop on March 19, 2024. Charges were filed on May 7, 2024, in Rooks County District Court against Brandon Alan Werner of Plainville.

During the special meeting of the Stockton USD 271 Board of Education on Monday, September 16th, the Board voted to move the regular October 14th board meeting to Monday, October 7th, and the regular March 10th meeting to Monday, March 3rd, due to the scheduling of the Parent / Teacher Conferences.

Three different charges, one of which includes Attempted Murder In The 2nd Degree, were filed in Rooks County District Court against a Plainville man on Tuesday, June 18. Charges were filed following the arrest of Jeremiah M.
