Body Governor Laura Kelly announced Monday, January 3, 2022, that total tax collections for December were $890.3 million. That is $64.5 million, or 7.8%, more than the monthly estimate. That is also a 15.6%, or $120.0 million, growth over December 2020.

Body The Rooks County Commission met on Tuesday, December 28th and met with road and bridge supervisor Rich Bouchey. The crew is wrapping up on the bridge prep work with the time schedule for the installation of the new bridge to begin in early January.

Body The Stockton Sentinel has a new addition to our paper this week… a Church Directory. We have had people in the past ask that we have something of this nature, and we feel now is the time to do it.

Body In 2021, Stockton had 19 inches of snow and 18.1 inches of rain accumulation. In 2020, snow accumulation was 5.5 inches with Stockton receiving 19.6 inches rain as measured at the Stockton City Power Plant.
