Sentinel entertains educational visit from the SGS third graders

THIRD GRADERS from Stockton Grade School listen to a presentation about informational writing from Susan Schneider during a visit to the Stockton Sentinel last Thursday.

Stockton Grade School students from the third-grade classes of Mrs. Martha Fleck and Ms.Tricia Hemphill walked down to the Stockton Sentinel on Thursday morning. The students were on an educational outing, hoping to learn more about informational writing from the Sentinel staff.
After listening to the presentation and asking several questions, the students, as a group, put the facts together and wrote an informative article about their visit.
One of the highlights of their visit was getting to see the “office dog” before heading back to the classroom.
