Body A MOMENT OF SILENCE was held Saturday, June 11th, at the Plainville Saddle Club Rodeo in remembrance of Richard “RJ” Schleicher who tragically lost his life in a car accident September 16th, 2021. Richard and two fellow bull riders, Jesse Hopper of Magnum, Okla.

Body Harry and Willardene Purdum’s great-grandson, Ezra, was diagnosed with Chronic granulomatous disease in April of last year, and knowing the power of prayer, they would appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers as Ezra goes through a bone marrow process this month.

Body THE SUNFLOWER SHED held its Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting on Tuesday, June 14th during the Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce meeting.

Body As of Monday, June 27th the Stockton Farmers Union Elevator has taken in 55,000 bushels of wheat. The Woodston Coop has taken in 35,000 bushels with Jerry McReynolds bringing in the first load of wheat for this harvest.

Body The “Names On The Wall” articles that are featured in the Stockton Sentinel will be on hiatus for the month of July while writer Susan D. McFarland is on vacation. The plan is to start the series up again some time in August.

Body Kyle Hull was contracted as Stockton’s new business teacher for the 2022-2023 school year at the special school board meeting held on Monday, June 27th. He will also serve as the coathletic director, taking over Marcia Hrabe’s position upon her resignation.
