The menus for the Senior Centers in Rooks County for the week beginning Monday, July 27, are as follows: Monday—Taco burger with lettuce, tomato, and onion, bun, peaches, crispy rice bar. Tuesday—Chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas and carrots, bread, pineapple.

More than 9,000 undergraduate students at the University of Kansas, including four from Rooks County, earned dean’s list distinction for the spring 2026 semester.

Monday—Pig-in-ablanket, tri-tater, fresh carrots, fruit, milk. Tuesday—Chicken patty sandwich, sun chips, baked beans, fruit, milk.

We love summer! July has been a wonderful month for our UnEarth A Story Summer Library Program. Our presenters, crafts, and readers have kept us busy and excited to come to work each day.
