(August 9th) 'The Promise of the Holy Spirit' was the message title taken from John 14:15-31. God wants a heart of obedience, not just outward conformity. True obedience shows love when it requires sacrifice. Obedience should flow out of relationship and love, not fear or duty alone.

It’s Stockton fair time! It’s that time of year again when the air is filled with the aroma of funnel cakes, caramel apples, and enough fried goodies to make your taste buds do a happy dance. I’m excited to indulge in the delicious fair food.

The Hobart Homemakers FCE ladies met July 27, 2026, at Stockton Church of the Restoration at 7 p.m. Roll call was 'What is your favorite activity at the fair? Ten members answered it. The minutes of the previous meeting and treasurer's reports were approved as read.

Two strong themes wind their way through Psalm 73: (1) The wicked prosper, leaving godly people wondering why they bother to be good, and (2) the wealth of the wicked looks so inviting that faithful people may wish they could trade places.

Last Sunday's readings— Isaiah 55:1-3, Psalm 145, Romans 8:35-39, and Matthew 14:13-21— remind us of one powerful truth: our God is a God of caring. He cares for us spiritually, physically, and emotionally.
