Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope your day was as relaxing as mine was. I just finished a little afternoon nap, because let’s be honest, sometimes even the busiest person needs a quick snooze to keep going. After that, I indulged in a fried chicken lunch from Mr. K’s in Plainville. Let me tell you, their chicken is so crispy and tasty, it’s practically a religious experience. I promise, if there were awards for fried chicken, Mr. K’s would be taking home the gold every time!

Plainville Memorial Library News

When the boss is away…the library is in great hands! I spent last week in Phoenix, Arizona, at the Institute of Museum and Library Services Librarian Convening 250: Telling America’s Story, learning about grant opportunities, community building, and how to maximize small spaces for big imaginations. It was an incredible privilege to be invited to attend with 150 librarians from a seven-state region, with only 28 from Kansas in attendance and only a few from the Central Kansas Library Service area. It was an informa in our community who’ve stepped up all school year long during Game Day to volunteer and play games with our students.
