The 145th Nicodemus Homecoming Emancipation Celebration plans are coming together nicely, and the dedicated Homecoming Committee members, who are hard at work, promise a little something for everyone.

The regular monthly meeting of the Rooks County Health Center Board of Directors is Tuesday, July 25th, at 6:00 p.m. in the hospital’s meeting room.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, July 24, are as follows: Monday— Salisbury steak in gravy, mashed potatoes, beets, bread, tropical fruit. Tuesday—Oven-baked chicken, pea salad, pudding, bread, watermelon.

There will be a government surplus commodities distribution on Monday, July 24th, for those in the Stockton and Plainville areas. The distribution will be held in Stockton on Monday, July 24th, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall. Please enter through the front door at 314 Main Street.

Just a reminder that the Stockton Food Pantry is open next Thursday, July 20th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Food Pantry is located at 602 Main Street in the building behind the Main Street Christian Church Parsonage.
