The Nova Theatre in Stockton will host a “Back to School Pajama and Pizza Party” on Saturday, August 19th at 1:00 p.m. Bring your pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, etc., and wear your favorite pajamas and fuzzy slippers.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, August 14, are as follows: Monday—Salisbury steak in gravy, mashed potatoes, creamed peas, bread, mixed fruit. Tuesday— Pasta salad with ham, cookie, crackers, tropical fruit. Wednesday—Turkey ala king, antigua blend vegetables, biscuit, hot cinnamon apples.

The Central Kansas, Phillips-Rooks, Post Rock, and River Valley Extension Districts will be hosting conferences this August aimed to help farmers and ranchers plan the transition of their farm.

Just a reminder that the Stockton Food Pantry is open next Thursday, August 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and from 6:00 p.m.

The Nova Theatre in Stockton will be closed this weekend (August 11th, 12th and 13th) so everyone can enjoy the Rooks County Free Fair! See you at the Fair!.

Come support the Rooks County youth at the 4-H and FFA Livestock Sale on Friday, August 11th. The event will be held at the Sutor-Blauer Arena at the Rooks County Fairgrounds. The Buyers’ Hospitality Hour will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the sale to start promptly at 6:00 p.m.

183 Lanes in Stockton will be open on Monday through Thursday (August 7th through August 10th) from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday during the Rooks County Free Fair week. There will be no bowling during the fair!

Make plans now to participate in the 4-H Silent Food Auction to be held during the Rooks County Free Fair. The ten items for auction will be on display in Harding Hall and ready for bids by Monday evening, August 7th.
