Ellis County GOP teaming up to host a trap competition Sat., August 12
Want to have fun, defend your values, and try your hand at winning some great prizes? If so, the Ellis County GOP can make it happen.
On August 12, they are teaming up with the Kansas Black Republicans to host a trap competition at the Hays City Sportsmen’s Club.
An adult ticket costs $50 dollars and gets you the opportunity to win a $400 gift certificate from American Shooters. Second-place prize is a $250 gift certificate at Joe Bob Outfitters while the third-place winner picks up a $100 gift certificate from Curt’s Sporting Goods.
Younger shooters (who must be accompanied by an adult) aged 12 to 14 or 15 to 17 pay $25 and compete for prizes valued at $200, $100, and $75. Non-shooters are welcome and will be admitted free of charge.
The gate opens at 8:30 a.m. and shooting starts at 9:00 a.m.
Each participant will shoot 25 clays per round, with prizes going to the top three contestants. Clays will be provided, but be sure to bring your own shotgun and shells along with ear and eye protection. A picnic-style cookout featuring hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, and baked beans will be available at $8 per plate. You’ll also have a chance to meet figures like Kansas Black Republican Chairman Michael Austin, and state Rep. Rebecca Schmoe.
The fact is, food and fuel are two things America can’t do without, and for generations, Western Kansas has provided both. Unfortunately, woke Democrats want to choke off the resources that power our economy while undermining the principles that hold us together.
Western Kansas needs a strong voice that’s able to push back, which means your support is needed. By coming out, you’ll be helping build the infrastructure that is needed to support conservative candidates at both the state and the local level. Unfortunately, leftists think they can dictate life for the rest of us; it’s time they learn otherwise.
