What's Happening

Week of April 25 Breakfast Monday—Pancake, fruit, juice, milk. Tuesday—Pop-Tart, fruit, juice, milk.

There will be a government surplus commodities distribution on Monday, April 25th for those in the Stockton and Plainville areas. In Stockton, the distribution will be held on Monday, April 25th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, April 25, are as follows: Monday—Chicken strips, hashbrown casserole, winter blend vegetables, bread, applesauce. Tuesday—Ham and beans, spinach salad, cornbread, acini de pepe.

The regular monthly meeting of the Rooks County Health Center Board of Directors will be held on Tuesday, April 26th at 6:00 p.m. in the hospital’s meeting room.

Week of April 18 Breakfast Monday—Closed. Tuesday—Breakfast stick, fruit, juice, milk.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, April 18, are as follows: Monday—Smothered steak, mashed potatoes, corn, bread, rosy pears. Tuesday—Chili, pineapple, crackers, cinnamon roll. Wednesday—Beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread, peaches.

The Sentinel will be highlighting the Stockton High School Class of 2022 in its annual graduation feature which will appear in our May 5th issue.

The Stockton Sentinel is asking for the SHS seniors or their parents to bring in an 8x10 framed photo for our annual window display. Get your pictures in soon to keep this tradition alive! Please call 785-425-6354 to make arrangements.

The annual Sigma Phi ESA Easter Egg Hunt will be held this Saturday, April 16th. The hunt for children ages 1 to 4 will be held at the Youth Soccer Field located on the west side of the Lower City Park at 1:00 p.m. The hunt for children ages 5 to 10 will be held at the Lower City Park at 1:30 p.m.

Just a reminder that the Stockton Food Pantry is open every third Thursday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Food Pantry is located at 602 Main Street in the building behind the Main Street Christian Church Parsonage.
