Body Please note there will be NO government surplus commodities distributions this month (February) due to a supply distribution issue. Remember, to be eligible for commodities, your household’s total monthly income must be below: $1,396.00 for a household of one; $1,888.

Body The menus for the week beginning Monday, February 21, are as follows: Monday—Pork cutlet, macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, bread, strawberries. Tuesday—Chili, ambrosia fruit salad, crackers, cinnamon roll.

Body The regular monthly meeting of the Rooks County Health Center Board of Directors will be held on Tuesday, February 22nd at 6:00 p.m. in the hospital’s meeting room. The public is encouraged to attend.

Body The ladies of the Crossroads Quilt Guild have been working toward their goal to recognize all of the veterans in Rooks County by awarding them with a Quilt of Valor. Many veterans have already received quilts and 10 more will be recognized February 21st in Plainville.

Body The annual St. Thomas Mardi Gras Dinner will be held on Sunday, February 27th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the St. Thomas Parish Center in Stockton.
