The menus for the week beginning Monday, August 15, are as follows: Monday—Smothered steak, mashed potatoes, stewed tomatoes, bread, pineapple. Tuesday— Closed for annual training. Wednesday—Chef salad, cookie, club crackers, watermelon.

If you enjoy sunshine and crafts, come spend a fun-filled Saturday in northwest Kansas on Highway 9. The town of Logan, home to the newly renovated Hansen Museum, hosts one of the best arts and crafts fairs in Kansas.

183 Lanes in Stockton will be open on Monday through Thursday (August 8th through August 11th) from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday during the Rooks County Free Fair week. There will be no bowling during the fair!

As is our custom, the Sentinel will publish on Tuesday instead of Wednesday during Fair Week, which this year runs from August 7th through August 13th. Postal patrons will get their newspapers a day early and the paper will hit the newsstands on Tuesday morning.
