Glenda and Mike Mann of Hutchinson will be leading the upcoming Super Sensation Vacation Bible School at Stockton Church of Restoration, located at 204 North Elm Street in Stockton. They combine storytelling, illusions, ventriloquism and original music to teach the Bible and to convey the message of the Gospel.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, May 30, are as follows: Monday—Closed for Memorial Day. Tuesday—Chicken strips, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, bread, rosy pears. Wednesday— Sheperd’s pie, corn, bread, peaches. Thursday—Taco burger with lettuce, tomato and cheese, rice, bun, mixed fruit. Friday— Pulled pork, coleslaw, pudding, bun, cantaloupe.

School is out so another year of the Summer Food Service Program begins next Monday, May 23rd. The Summer Food Service Program provides lunch and next day’s breakfast to all children ages 1 to 18 years of age.

Tuesday— Oven-baked chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, bread, rosy applesauce. Wednesday—Spanish rice with hamburger, mexicali corn, bread, fruit crisp. Thursday—Pasta salad with ham, brownie, crackers, tropical fruit. Friday— Hamburger patty with lettuce, tomato, onion, potato salad, bun, cantaloupe.

Live music, a parade, games, food, shopping, and much more! The peonies are starting to bloom so that can only mean one thing….Stockton’s Peony Festival is here! The event will take place this Saturday, May 21st with lots to do, lots to eat and lots to see. The day kicks off at 7:00 a.m.

It’s city-wide garage sale time! Stockton is once again participating in the annual Highway 24 Garage Sale. The three-day event runs from Friday through Sunday, June 3rd, 4th and 5th.
