U.S. Senate candidate, Reverend Mark Holland, will be in Plainville on Wednesday, May 18th at the Plainville Memorial Library (200 West 1st Street). There will be discussion as well as a question and answer session. The event will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Rooks County Free Fair is still a few months away, but now is the time to plant vegetables in your wheelbarrow for the Fair’s Wheelbarrow Garden Contest. The contest rules state that you can display your choice of no more than twelve (12) and nowfewer than seven (7) of your favorite vegetables (including tomatoes).
